Meet Our Staff
Pastor Will Turner
Pastor Matt Meeder
Matt & Leslie have been involved in church ministry together the past 30 years in both rural and urban/suburban settings. They have four adult children and four grandchildren. Matt and Leslie crossed paths at Grace Chapel while doing youth ministry and were married here in 1981.
Matt received a B.S. degree in Bible and Christian Education from Cairn University (then PCB) and his M. Div. from Grace Theological Seminary. Matt and Leslie enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing and being with their children and grandkids whenever possible. On long winter nights Matt can be found streaming detective shows on Netflix, playing with his model trains or, now and then, immersed in a good book.
Pastor to International Scholars and Students
Samuel Gregg Smyrl (we know him as Gregg) has been on staff at Grace Chapel since 2005. He served as the Pastor of Missions and Seniors until 2011 and now, as the pastor of International Students and Scholars, although he first started attending Grace Chapel in 1956, when he was 5 years old. Gregg received his B.A. in History at Wheaton College, and earned his M.Div from Biblical Theological Seminary. Gregg and his wife Nancy were married in 1977 and served together with CrossWorld in the Dominican Republic from 1981 to 2004. Their children, Jonathan, Philip, and Anne were all born there.
Gregg also serves with China Outreach Ministries, and he loves the opportunities he has to meet new people from many parts of China, and showing them new things – especially the Gospel. Gregg has an interest in learning many aspects of different cultures to be able to communicate more effectively.
Children's Ministry Director
Terry Hosan is Grace Chapel’s Office Manager; coordinating day-to-day operations and providing support to all our ministry leaders.
Terry has attended Grace Chapel since 1985 when her family moved to this area. She has a degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is glad to be putting that to use in her role as Office Manager. She has served in many capacities at Grace Chapel including Children’s Ministries, Mom’s Unlimited, short-term missions teams and various places in the music ministry before starting to work in the office in 2006. In her “spare time,” she loves to read.
