Caryl Basmajian - Atmajian is married to Donald Atmajian and mother of daughter, Cara. She grew up in Havertown and has attended Grace Chapel since 1968. As a young child and after understanding Ephesians 2:8, (For by Gods grace and not her good deeds), Caryl trusted Christ as her personal Savior. She committed her life to His service as a sophmore in high school. After attending Philadelphia College of Bible in 1974 she transferred to Drexel University where she graduated in 1979 with a B.S. in Home Economics Education/Community Service. In subsequent years she has aquired a Masters Equivalency in graduate courses in choral music and conducting from Westminster Choir College. Since becoming music director in January of 1992 she has lead the Chapel Choir, New Song (smaller ensemble), and Youth Choir. Her current responsibilities include planning the 11:00 worship service and overseeing related choral and instrumental ministries. Her vision and goal is to blend the traditional hymns and contemporary choruses into a worship experience that exhorts the participant to a deeper and more personal relationship with God.
