Joe & Karen Mellon – CrossWorld Joe and Karen have been
involved with church planting in Chambery, France, since 1987. They seek
opportunities to reach students at a local university, teach English camps and
work in a Christian publishing house. Joe's main
ministry is the University work called the "FEU". This is an
evangelistic/discipleship ministry that reaches out to the two campuses at Chambery. There are approximately 8,000 students
studying in their town. Along with this work, he directs camps in the summer
for missionary children, as well as French children that have a desire to learn
a bit of English. In his spare time, he
is the head coach of the American football team in Chambery. Karen works in Lyons twice a week at a
publishing company, Editions Cle, which provides Scripture commentaries and
on-line helps to the French-speaking world.
She helps with different aspects of the work, particularly in the area
